Immunogen

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human KCNJ5

Target

Potassium channels are present in most mammalian cells, where they participate in a wide range of physiologic responses. KCNJ5 is an integral membrane protein and inward-rectifier type potassium channel. KCNJ5, which has a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into a cell rather than out of a cell, is controlled by G-proteins. It may associate with two other G-protein-activated potassium channels to form a heteromultimeric pore-forming complex.Potassium channels are present in most mammalian cells, where they participate in a wide range of physiologic responses. Only the potassium inwardly-rectifying channel, subfamily J, member 5 region was propagated into this RefSeq record. Publication Note: This RefSeq record includes a subset of the publications that are available for this gene. Please see the Entrez Gene record to access additional publications.

Reconstitution

All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil) . Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
