Target
KIF2A belongs to the kinesin-like protein family, MCAK/KIF2 subfamily. It contains 1 kinesin-motor domain. KIF2A plus end-directed microtubule-dependent motor required for normal brain development. It may regulate microtubule dynamics during axonal growth. KIF2A is implicated in formation of bipolar mitotic spindles. It has microtubule depolymerization activity. Hela cells lacking KIF2A show asymmetric or monopolar mitotic spindles. Osteosarcoma cells (U2OS) lacking KIF2A or KIF2B show disorganised or monopolar mitotic spindles.Kinesins, such as KIF2, are microtubule-associated motor proteins. Reconstitution
All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil) . Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
