Human Villous Trophoblasts

Research on the Human Villous Trophoblasts is essential to the study of preeclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), placental abruption, recurrent spontaneous abortion, and chorioamnionitis. The placenta is a temporary organ developed in the uterus during pregnancy. It attaches to the uterine wall and connects to the developing fetus by the umbilical cord. Through the umbilical cord, the placenta provides oxygen and nutrients to the fetus. The Human Villous Trophoblasts are to be used with Human Villous Trophoblast Medium (Cat. No. ACM0130). This product is intended for laboratory in vitro use only. It is not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
