ISRE (Luc) HEK293 Reporter Cell
ISRE is a marker of interferon stimulated genes (ISGs), which mainly include enzymes that can inhibit virus replication. Type I (such as IFN α and IFN β) and type III interferon (such as IFN-λ) can activate STAT1 and STAT2, and the activated STAT1, STAT2, and IRF9 form a protein complex called ISGF3. The ISGF3 protein complex binds to the promoter containing the ISRE element (interferon-stimulated response element) and activates the expression of related genes.
