HSD17B14 protein, with NAD-dependent 17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase activity, converts oestradiol to oestrone. Its enzymatic activity extends to both oestradiol and 5-androstene-3-beta,17-beta-diol in vitro, although the physiological substrate remains unidentified. HSD17B14 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived HSD17B14 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.
