L-656224 is an orally active, potent and selective inhibitor of leukotriene biosynthesis in intact rat and human leukocytes and CXBG mastocytoma cells (IC50 values, 18-240 nM) and of human leukocyte and porcine leukocyte 5-lipoxygenase (IC50, 4 x 10-7 M) . L-656224 is promising for research of asthma and peripheral analgesic agents[1].
