Anti-RNF43, Avi-Tag, Biotin-Labeled Antibody

This anti-RNF43 antibody is a purified, humanized recombinant monoclonal antibody that recognizes human RNF43 (ring finger protein 43) . The heavy chain contains a C-terminal Avi-tag™. This antibody was enzymatically biotinylated using Avi-tagTMtechnology. This antibody has been tested for binding activity in an ELISA assay.

Background

RNF43, or ring finger protein 43, is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that acts a tumor suppressor to negatively regulate the WNT (wingless-related integration site) signaling pathway through promoting the degradation of frizzled WNT receptors. Loss of function mutations in RNF43 have been shown to be a predictive biomarker in favorable response to anti-BRAF (B-Raf proto-oncogene serine/threonine kinase) /EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) therapies in colorectal cancer patients. RNF43 mutations are frequent predictors, and therefore of high clinical interest, in pancreatic, gastric, and endometrial cancers. Further studies will reveal more on the cancer signaling pathways and combinatory therapies involving RNF43.
