Anti-PVRIG Neutralizing Antibody
This anti-PVRIG (Poliovirus receptor related immunoglobulin domain containing) antibody is a purified, recombinant human monoclonal antibody which recognizes human PVRIG. This recombinant antibody has been tested for specific binding to purified recombinant human PVRIG in an ELISA binding assay.
Product Specifications
Background
PVRIG, also known as Poliovirus receptor related immunoglobulin domain containing protein or CD112R, is a natural killer (NK) cell immune checkpoint receptor, and it is also found in CD8+T cells. PVRIG works as an inhibitory receptor and recognizes CD112 (also known as poliovirus receptor-related 2, PVRL2 or nectin-2) as its ligand. This binding results in lower responses of NK and T cells towards cancer cells. In T cells it inhibits the nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) . Blocking the interaction between PVRIG and its ligand, for instance with an antibody directed towards PVRIG, represents a novel strategy in checkpoint blockade immunotherapy.
