GCKR, Human (P.pastoris, His)
The GCKR protein plays a critical regulatory role in glucokinase (GCK) by forming an inactive complex and recruiting GCK to the nucleus after meals. Its interaction with GCK is finely tuned by fructose metabolites; binding of GCKR to fructose-6-phosphate increases the affinity for GCK, whereas binding to fructose-1-phosphate decreases the affinity, thereby releasing inhibition. GCKR Protein, Human (P.pastoris, His) is the recombinant human-derived GCKR protein, expressed by P. pastoris , with N-His labeled tag.
