SPR, Human (His)

SPR proteins play a key role in tetrahydrobiopterin biosynthesis by catalyzing the final one or two reductions required to form 5,6,7,8-tetrahydrobiopterin. This enzyme activity is critical for the production of tetrahydrobiopterin, a cofactor involved in various biochemical pathways, including neurotransmitter synthesis and nitric oxide production.
