AS-1669058 is a GPR119 agonist and a potential inhibitor of type 2 diabetes. AS-1669058 induces insulin secretion in response to high blood glucose levels in vitro and in vivo and increases insulin promoter activity. In animal studies, AS-1669058 improved glucose tolerance and reduced blood glucose levels in db/db mice[1].
