Kv1.7 is a potassium channel subunit is a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, shaker-related subfamily. Potassium channels form homotetrameric and heterotetrameric channels in the membrane with various other related proteins, including KCNA2, KCNA4, KCNA5, KCNA6, KCNA7. Kv1.7 is detected in heart, skeletal muscle, kidney, brain, and pancreatic islet cells.
