Background

Synaptotagmins are a family of calcium sensing, membrane trafficking proteins. 17 different synaptotagmins have been identified in mammals. Synaptotagmin 12 differs from classical synaptotagmins in that it does not bind Ca (2+) . In synaptic vesicles, synaptotagmin-12 forms a complex with synaptotagmin-1 that prevents synaptotagmin-1 from interacting with SNARE complexes (Maximov A. et al., 2007) .

Produced by in vitro bioreactor culture of hybridoma line followed by Protein A affinity chromatography and conjugation of purified mAb. Purified mAbs are >90% specific antibody.

Does not cross-react with Synaptotagmin-6 (or other Synaptotagmins)
