Anti-TARPGamma2/4/8 Antibody

Our Anti-TARPGamma2/4/8 mouse monoclonal primary antibody from NeuroMab is produced in-house from hybridoma clone N245/36. It detects mouse and rat TARPGamma2/4/8, and is purified by Protein A chromatography. It is great for use in ICC, WB.

Product Specifications

Background

Voltage-dependent calcium channel gamma-2 subunit, TARPGamma2 or Stargazin is encoded by the gene CACNG2 and is the transmembrane gamma subunit of the L-type calcium channel. Stargazin is in involved in regulation and trafficking of the ligand gated ion channel AMPA receptors. It is thought to play a role in learning and memory. Diseases associated with this gene include forms of deafness, Mental Retardation and childhood absnce epilepsy.
