7-Amino-4-methylcoumarin
7-Amino-4-methylcoumarin is a coumarin compound isolated from the endophytic fungus Xylaria sp. that exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. 7-Amino-4-methylcoumarin is an important laser dye that emits in the blue region and can be used to analyze monosaccharides and N-linked oligosaccharides in glycoproteins. 7-Amino-4-methylcoumarin is also used in histopathological analysis, enzyme activity assays, and copper ion detection. The excitation and emission wavelengths are 351 nm and 430 nm, respectively.
