BSB is a Congo red-derived fluorescent probe used for imaging amyloid fibrils and prion protein plaques in neurodegenerative disease research. It effectively labels rat Aβ (1-40) fibrils in vitro and selectively binds to compact PrP plaques, facilitating studies in both experimental models.
