Calpain-1 substrate, fluorogenic

This fluorogenic substrate is specifically cleaved by calpain-1 at the Tyr-Gly bond, producing a measurable increase in fluorescence (Ex/Em = 490/518 nm) . It is widely used for sensitive calpain-1 activity assays in both cell-based (in vitro) and tissue homogenate research models, particularly in studies of calpain-related pathologies like neurodegeneration and ischemia.
