DiI

DiI (DiIC18 (3) ) is a lipophilic carbocyanine dye that integrates into cell membranes, where it exhibits strong orange-red fluorescence (ex/em 549/565 nm) . It is widely used as a long-term neuronal tracer and for cell labeling in both in vitro and in vivo studies, including research in neurobiology and developmental biology.
