NBD-X acid
NBD-X acid is an environmentally sensitive fluorescent probe with superior labeling efficiency compared to NBD, exhibiting strong green-yellow fluorescence (Ex/Em 465/535 nm) in hydrophobic environments but quenched emission in aqueous media. It is widely used for studying lipid membranes, protein interactions, and biomolecular localization in both in vitro assays and live-cell imaging experiments.
