Perfluorohexane
AF-0150 (Perfluorohexane) is a perfluorocarbon-based ultrasound contrast agent used in biomedical research. Studies indicate it causes developmental neurotoxicity, impairing memory and altering neuroproteins via NMDA receptor-PKC-ERK/AMPK pathways. It is also used to investigate disruptions in female reproductive physiology, including estrous cycles, ovulation, and oocyte function in murine models.
