Pyrene
Pyrene is a blue-fluorescent, carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) with excitation/emission at 338/375 nm. It is widely employed as a sensitive probe for studying protein-lipid interactions and conformational changes in vitro, and also functions as an electron donor material in research applications.
