Quinacrine mustard hydrochloride is a fluorescent mutagenic agent that selectively binds AT-rich DNA sequences, inducing G2/M cell cycle arrest. It is widely used in cytogenetics for chromosome staining and karyotyping, as well as in bacterial mutagenesis and DNA-binding studies in vitro.
