SQM-NBD is a cell-permeable, low-toxicity AIE probe for the selective and sensitive detection of cysteine (Cys) and homocysteine (Hcy), with LODs of 54 nM and 72 nM respectively. It is suitable for tracking these biothiols in live-cell imaging and investigating their roles in redox biology and associated disease models.
