Texas red-X 4-succinimidyl ester

Texas Red-X, SE is a succinimidyl ester derivative of the amphoteric, red-emitting Texas Red fluorophore. It is extensively used as a covalent labeling reagent for studying neuronal morphology and as a selective fluorescent marker for astrocytes in both in vivo and in vitro slice preparations.
