Thioflavin T
Thioflavin T (Basic Yellow 1) is a cationic benzothiazole dye that exhibits a strong fluorescence enhancement upon binding to amyloid fibrils. It is a standard histological stain for detecting amyloid plaques in tissue sections and is widely used in both in vitro assays and in vivo imaging studies in Alzheimer's disease research.
