Epoxide Hydrolase, Rhodococcus rhodochrous (EC 3.3.2.3), converts epoxides into trans-dihydrodiols, which can subsequently bind with other substances and be excreted from the body. Epoxides are byproducts of the degradation of aromatic compounds.
