Trehalose-6-phosphate hydrolase, also known as Bacillus subtilis (EC 3.2.1.93), is part of the hydrolase enzyme family specializing in the hydrolysis of O- and S-glycosidic compounds. It plays a role in the metabolism of starch and sucrose. The substrates for this enzyme are α, α'-trehalose-6-phosphate and water, producing D-glucose and D-glucose-6-phosphate as products.
