Neosartoricin D is a polyketide compound and a microbial secondary metabolite. It can be isolated from cultures of [Aspergillus nidulans]. Neosartoricin D is an analog of Neosartoricin B, which is also a secondary metabolite produced by [Aspergillus nidulans]. Neosartoricin B may play a role in modulating the host's immune response during pathogenic fungal infection and colonization.
