Glucoraphasatin potassium
Glucoraphasatin (potassium) is the potassium salt of Glucoraphasatin. This compound is an atypical orally active thioglucoside found in cruciferous vegetables like radish (Raphanus sativus) . It exhibits anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and can modulate Phase I metabolic enzyme activity. Under the action of the plant enzyme myrosinase, Glucoraphasatin can convert into isothiocyanate, displaying cytotoxicity against cancer cells. It is useful in research related to cancer and inflammation, such as studies on colon cancer.
