This antibiotic demonstrates potent antifungal properties, significantly inhibiting the mycelial growth of plant pathogenic fungi such as Alternaria mali, Aspergillus oryzae, and Cylindrocarpon destructans, with an IC50 range of 4-16 μg/mL. Additionally, Strevertene A effectively prevents the development of tomato wilt.
