Procyanidin A3
Procyanidin A3 (Cinnamtannin A3; Cinnamtannin II) is a subclass of Proanthocyanidins, a group of polyphenolic compounds prevalent in higher plants composed of electrophilic flavan-3-ol units. Proanthocyanidins serve as antioxidants and anticancer agents, and they also exhibit anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, antibacterial, and antifungal properties, useful for studying chronic venous insufficiency, capillary fragility, sunburn, and retinopathy.
