Orthosporin
Orthosporin ((+) -Orthosporin) is a phytotoxic isocoumarin compound and a secondary metabolite produced by microorganisms. It can be isolated from the endophytic fungus Lasiodiplodia theobromae. Orthosporin exhibits potent antibacterial activity against B. subtilis, E. coli, and P. aeruginosa. Additionally, it possesses antioxidant properties that counteract DPPH radicals and displays antiviral activity by inhibiting HIV-1 reverse transcriptase (HIV-1reverse transcriptase) .
