Encaleret sodium
Encaleret (CLTX-305) sodium is an orally active calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) antagonist with an IC50 of 12 nM. It functions by inhibiting the excessive activity of gain-of-function CaSR variants, helping to restore blood calcium levels, promote parathyroid hormone secretion, and improve magnesium and phosphorus metabolism along with urinary calcium excretion. Encaleret sodium is applicable in the research of conditions such as osteoporosis and autosomal dominant hypocalcemia type 1.
