G-quadruplexligand 4, a chromone derivative, functions as a human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) G4 ligand. It downregulates hTERT expression and exhibits significant cytotoxicity in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cell lines. This compound induces S/G2 phase cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, while also downregulating the expression of hTERT, KRAS, and BCL-2.
