N-Nitroso-tris-chloroethylurea
N-nitroso-tris-chloroethylurea (NTCU) is employed to chemically induce a model of lung squamous cell carcinoma. When applied to the skin of five mouse strains (SWR/J, NIH Swiss, A/J, BALB/cJ, and FVB/J), NTCU resulted in the development of lung squamous cell carcinoma. However, three other strains (AKR/J, 129/svJ, and C57BL/6J) showed no sensitivity to NTCU.
