By leveraging the enhanced permeability and retention effect of liposomes, Betamethasone succinate effectively delivers potent glucocorticoids to inflammatory sites. It inhibits the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-α and IL-6, while maintaining the levels of the anti-inflammatory cytokine TGF-β.
