Metallibure
Metallibure (ICI 33828) is a derivative of dithiocarbamoyl hydrazine and functions as a gonadotrophic inhibitor. It interferes with the action of pituitary gonadotropins in bony fish, thereby inhibiting the maturation of germ cells. While Metallibure does not affect the histological structure of the thyroid, it does reduce the nuclear volume of thyroid epithelial cells. This compound is utilized in the study of endocrine disorders.
