Florantyrone
Florantyrone (Zanchol) is a choleretic agent that increases the volume of bile without affecting its bile acid content. Zanchol stimulates hepatic cholesterol synthesis, significantly raises plasma cholesterol levels, and increases liver weight, but does not significantly affect intestinal cholesterol synthesis. Florantyrone can be used in the study of biliary dyskinesia.
