Cobiprostone
Cobiprostone (SPI 8811) is an activator of type 2 chloride channels. This compound prevents depolarization of the mitochondrial membrane potential caused by Indomethacin and reverses the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential. Cobiprostone offers cellular protection against damage induced by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
