EDMA hydrochloride is a derivative of MDMA. It acts as a substrate for several neurotransmitter transporters, including the serotonin transporter (SERT), dopamine transporter (DAT), and norepinephrine transporter (NET) . EDMA hydrochloride exhibits 5-HT releasing activity at SERT with an EC50 value of 117 nM, and MPP+ releasing activity at DAT and NET with EC50 values of 597 and 325 nM, respectively.
