GPX4-IN-21

GPX4-IN-21 (Compound 4d) is a selective inhibitor of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) . It induces ferroptosis and decreases the levels of ferroptosis-related proteins SLC7A11, SLC11A2, and GPX4. GPX4-IN-21 also promotes the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and malondialdehyde (MDA) . This compound exhibits potent antiproliferative activity against melanoma, with an IC50 value of 9.42 μM in A375 cells. GPX4-IN-21 is applicable in cancer research, particularly for studies on melanoma.
