HCV-IN-50 (Compound 2) is a competitive and selective inhibitor of HCV NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. It exhibits an IC50 of 0.3 μM against the NS5B ΔC21 enzyme, demonstrating superior inhibitory potency compared to the ΔC55 enzyme. HCV-IN-50 possesses antiviral activity, effectively blocking replication of HCV subgenomic replicons, particularly mutant replicons.
