SIB 1663 is a conformationally restricted nicotine analogue. It selectively activates the α2β4 and α4β4 subtypes of human recombinant neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) . Additionally, SIB 1663 enhances the release of dopamine and noradrenaline and is applicable in the study of neurological disorders.
