Squalamine (phosphate) (Compound ENT-01) is an orally active neuroprotective agent. It displaces α-synuclein (α-Syn) bound to neuronal cell membranes through electrostatic interactions, thereby preventing its aggregation. Squalamine (phosphate) is applicable for research in neurological disorders, such as Parkinson's disease.
