Myoglobin (human)
Myoglobin (human) is a small globular protein pigment consisting of globin bonded with ferriheme (Heme), allowing it to reversibly bind with oxygen, forming MbO2, known as oxymyoglobin, while Mb refers to deoxymyoglobin. Within muscle cells, myoglobin plays a crucial role in oxygen transport and storage.
