Hygromycin A
Hygromycin A, an antibiotic produced by Streptomyces, showed a relatively selective inhibitory activity against Borrelia burgdorferi. Hygromycin A can inhibit the synthesis of protein by bacterial ribosomes, which can be used to study the mechanism of Lyme disease and its antibacterial activity.
