Dehydrofalcarinol
Dehydrofalcarinol is a polyacetylene compound identified in Desmanthodium guatemalense. It exhibits potent inhibitory activity against cell lines MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-157, BT-549, HCC1806, MDA-MB-468, and MDA-MB-453 with IC50 values of 0.051, 0.059, 0.22, 0.3, 0.85, and 2.8 μM, respectively. Its anticancer efficacy is dependent on 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 17 (17β-HSD) . Dehydrofalcarinol is applicable in the study of triple-negative breast cancer.
