Sapurimycin
Sapurimycin is an antitumor antibiotic isolated from the Streptomyces DO-116 and is part of the capuramycin family. It exhibits potent activity against Gram-positive bacteria and shows significant antitumor effects against leukemia P388 and sarcoma 180 in mouse models. In vitro studies demonstrate that Sapurimycin can induce single-strand breaks in supercoiled plasmid DNA.
