Danshensu sodium (Dan shen suan A) is a phenolic compound with oral bioactivity that activates Nrf2/HO-1 and inhibits the NF-κB pathway. It reduces reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, enhances antioxidant defenses, and suppresses intrinsic apoptotic pathways.
