DDTAC (H12-TAC) is a detergent designed to extract and dissolve membrane proteins. It features a dodecylthioacetyl chain linked to a polar group composed of Tris polyol groups. DDTAC is utilized for extracting yeast ATP synthase from mitochondrial membranes.
